Simple & Speedy Salsbery Steak Recipe: Perfect for February Comfort Food

– 1 lb of ground beef

– 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs

– 1 large egg

– 1/4 cup of chopped onions

– 1 teaspoon of salt

– 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

– 2 cups of sliced mushrooms

– 1 cup of beef broth

– 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

– 2 tablespoons of cornstarch

– 2 tablespoons of water

– 2 tablespoons of butter

– Cooking oil

1. Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onions, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl until they’re well-combined. Shape this mixture into oval patties.

2. Heat some cooking oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook until they’re brown on both sides. Remove the patties from the pan and set them aside.

3. In the same pan, add the butter and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are golden brown.

4. Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping any bits from the bottom of the pan.

5. Combine the cornstarch and water in a separate bowl, then stir this into the pan.

6. Return the patties to the pan, spooning the sauce over them. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let everything simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the patties are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

7. Serve the Salisbury steaks hot with the mushroom gravy. It goes great with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.

Enjoy this quick and easy Salisbury steak recipe in the chilly month of February. The comforting taste will surely warm you up.
